About the Hanfu Parade
Following the spectacular success of last year’s parade, the 2026 Manchester Mid-Autumn Festival Hanfu Parade returns to Manchester Chinatown on 19–20 September 2026.
The Hanfu Parade is a celebration of the beauty of traditional Chinese clothing and the spirit of cultural exchange. Whatever your background, nationality, ethnicity or skin colour, if you love Chinese culture, you are warmly invited to join us.
Whether you are already passionate about Hanfu or simply curious to experience wearing traditional Chinese attire, put on your favourite Chinese clothing and become part of the parade. Walk together through Manchester Chinatown, share the beauty of Chinese culture, meet people from different communities and celebrate the Mid-Autumn Festival under one full moon.
